Qualifications: I am employed by Patriot Ordnance Factory as an Armorer Instructor Trainer. I have developed armorer course curriculum and materials for many weapon systems produced by three factories and instruct the Armorer courses for these companies worldwide. I also assist in test and evaluation of new products and designs for these companies. I have written owner’s and armorers manuals for current and pre-production weapon systems for these factories.

I am also currently employed with Police Training Consultants LLC, where for the past twenty years I have held the position of Primary Instructor/Armorer. In this position I am responsible for developing and teaching training courses for Law Enforcement and the Military. This position has given me the opportunity to develop and instruct training courses that are taught around the world. Many of these courses were taught in the Middle East, South America, and other developing countries. I have had the privilege to teach Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and many other government and specialty personal.

I retired after 31 years from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department where I was assigned full time to the Sheriff’s Senior Armorer position. In this position I was responsible for inspection, maintenance and repair of all department firearms, test and evaluation of all new firearms and ammunition, design and manufacture of unique firearms needed for the specialized enforcement details, performed firearms training, defensive tactics training, weapon cleaning and maintenance training, chemical munitions training, basic armorer training, live fire house instructor training, firearms instructor trainer and concealed weapons training, case preparation and expert witness testimony. In addition, I served as the reserve deputy sheriff training unit commander for 16 terms. In this position I was responsible for the supervision and training of the reserve deputy sheriff’s training cadre.

Prior to this I was employed by San Bernardino City Fire Department where I held the position of Fire Captain/Assistant to the Fire Marshal. My duties included the training of all fire investigators in the following areas: Fire scene investigation, Use of Force, firearms training and qualifications, officer survival, crime scene investigation, instruction in laws pertaining to search and seizure, case preparation and expert witness testimony. During all this time I remained a reserve deputy sheriff.
