Dr. Pumerantz has regularly taught ammunition manufacturing processes and toolmark identification to law enforcement agencies, including DOJ, LAPD, and LASO since 2008. His students continue to use the information from his courses in courtrooms across the country.
His background in firearm identification, toolmark examination, internal and external ballistics, and proper firearm handling have been enhanced by his nearly 20 years of service as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff, with most of those years in the armory and teaching on the firing line.
